Unite for Diabetes flying circles encourage people to share their support for the Unite for Diabetes campaign by passing a flying circle to their family and friends.
The flying circle represents life, unity, and health. Its colour is the same as the flag of the United Nations and reflects the sky that unites us all. The flying circles carry a key fact about the global burden of diabetes and encourage recipients to access this website and ask governments to improve diabetes care and bring diabetes out from the shadows.
Passing the flying circle is a symbolic gesture. It draws a line between one person and the next, uniting them in support of the IDF-led campaign to raise global awareness of diabetes and its complications.
Some Unite for Diabetes flying circles have serial numbers which can be tracked online. If you have one of these, write down the serial number, log it on the website and then pass the flying circle to a friend.
By logging the flying circle each time it reaches a different location, the circle's journey can be tracked.
Circles that do not have serial numbers include a key fact about diabetes and the website URL. If you have one of these, you can also demonstrate your support by posting a message of support, a photograph or a video.
